MATERIALS

Cotton Thread

Hook size: 1.50 mm

ABBREVIATION:

ch(s) = chain(s)
dc = double crochet
ea = each
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
sp = space
st(s)= stich(s)

INSTRUCTION:

MAIN PART:

Leave 3” tail, Ch 8, sl st in 1st ch. ( ring 1)

Row 1: 6 dc in ring, turn.

Row 2: sc in same st, ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in next st, rep to end (6dc, 5 ch), turn.

Row 3: sc in same st, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 1 sp, dc in next st, rep to end ( 16 dc), turn.

Row 4: sc in same st, ch 3, dc in next st, ch I, dc in ea st to end 8 16 dc, 15 ch), turn.

Row 5: sc in same st, ch 2, dc in ea ch 1 spand ea dc to end ( 31 dc ), turn.

Row 6. Sc in next st( skip 1 st), ch 2, dc in ea st to end, turn.

Rep row 6 until 3 dc remain, turn.
Sc, ch 8, sc in 3rd st, turn.

Row 1: sc, ch 2,in the ring, 14 dc in the ring( 15 dc), turn.

Row 2: sc in same st, ch 3, dc, ch1 in ea st to end, join in at the end of 2nd row of the main part, turn.

Row 3: sc, ch 2, sc in same sp, rep to end , join at the end of 3rd row of main part, sc, ch 2, sc in the end of evey row of main part, towords to begning ring of the main part, sl st in the ring ( 1st ring) sc, ch 2, 14 dc in the ring, turn.

Row 4: sc in same st, ch 3, dc, ch 1, in ea st, turn,

Row 5: sc, ch 2, sc in same sp and ea ch to end, sl st in the end dc of previous 2 rows and ch 8 ring, sc, ch 2, sc in ea end of every row of main parts, towords to 2nd ring, sl st in end, cut yarn and weave in.

To make a tussel, cut 5 thread with each 5” long. Fold in half and loop through middle of picot edge of starting ring.

KUFI

Syeda's Kufi Materials Crochet hook nr: 3mm. Cotton yarn 8/4, white and yellow or what you like. You can use any type of yarn and crochet hook, for adjust cap’s sizes. Abbreviations ch = Chain, dc = Double crochet, sc = Single crochet, sl st =Slip stitch Instructions With yellow color, Chain 7, sl st in 1st chain to make a ring. Ch. 3 , do not turn. Row 1: 18 dc in the ring, join in 3rd ch, ch 3, Row 2: 2 dc in 1st dc, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, to the end, sl st in ch 3, ch 3 (27dc) *Change color, next 2 rows in white color and change to yellow after 2 rows. KUFI / CAP

I made this crochet kufi/ cap for my husband . I use the tapestry crochet technique for changing colors . Cotton yarn : Light brown, Brown 1 ball ea ch, 50 g or color you like. (8/4) Crochet hook nr: 4mm. I used hook nr 4mm but that is not a large size hook its look like nr 2.50 mm and 3 mm. ( see in fhoto). Chain: ch Single crochet: sc, Slip stich: sl st. Increase: inc. Decrease: dec. Continue : cont. Light brown: A Brown : B You can use one size small or large hook and do more increase or decrease sts rounds to fit the size. For colore change, always use tapestry crochet technique. When you have 2 loops on hook ,pull the new color and sc with new color and keep doing like this technique and try to carry yarn like this technique . COCHET BABY BIB BY ULLA

I made dozen of this crochet baby bib for my grandson and for new born babies in my family . This pattren is in danish and I tried to translate this in english. Pattren is by Ulla and published in danish magazine in 2002 or may be 2003. Remmber do sc only back loop, its creat a beautiful edge and look good. Pattren, Materiale: Sagitta nr. 12 from hjertegarn (Heart yarn) in 2 different colors. ( this is danish yarn you can use any cotton yarn which is perfect to crochet hook nr.3. Perl-inox crochet hook nr. 3. You can also make in one color. Make 26 chain, on crochet hook nr .3. In chain 2 make 12 sc, 3 sc in next chain, 12 sc and turn make 1 chain = rigthside. row 2, 27 sc in back loop, turn, chain 1, row 3 , 13 sc crochet, 3 sc in next st, 13 sc, turn, ch,1, and continue row 2 and row 3 until row 31, cut yarn.
