KUFI


                                                  Syeda's Kufi
















Materials

Crochet hook nr: 3mm.

Cotton yarn 8/4, white and yellow or what you like.


You can use any type of yarn and crochet hook, for adjust cap’s sizes.



















Abbreviations

ch = Chain,

dc = Double crochet,

sc = Single crochet,

sl st =Slip stitch

Instructions

With yellow color, Chain 7, sl st in 1st chain to make a ring. Ch. 3 , do not turn. 


Row 1: 18 dc in the ring, join in 3rd ch, ch 3,


Row 2: 2 dc in 1st dc, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, to the end, sl st in ch 3, ch 3 (27dc) *Change color, next 2 rows in white color and change to yellow after 2 rows.


Row 3: like row 2, ( 41dc).


Row 4: 2 dc in 1st dc, 1dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, continue to end (51 dc).


Rows 5 to row 7: like row 4.


Row 8: 2 dc in 1st dc, 1 dc in next 5dc, 2 dc in next dc, continue to end (117dc).


Row 9: dc in every dc to end and join in 3 ch. Ch 1. (row 9 to 12 in yellow color)


Rows 10, 11 and 12: sc in every dc. Join in ch 1.


*Change to white and crochet 1 row in white and 1 row in yellow to row 20.


Row 13: ch 3 ,2 dc in 2nd sc , skip next sc, 2dc in 2nd dc, continue to end (2dc in 1 sc ,skip 1sc and 2dc in next sc) (58 2dc set)


Rows 14 to 20: do like row 13.


*Change to white.


Rows 21, 22 and 23: Sc in every dc to end. Ch 1. Change to yellow.


Row 24: Sc in every sc to end, skip last sc and sl st in the 1st st of previous row and bind off. Cut yarn and weave in.

V NECK SWEATER











I knit this sweater in 2003 for my hubby. I don’t remember what was the measurement, but try to write down the pattern for arm and neck shapping.

I knit with black and gray colors.
I used nr 3.mm and 3.50mm knitting needles and nr 3mm circular knitting needles 40cm length.
You can use any type of yarn and nr of needles, you can also adjust sts for fit your size.
Cast on co
Bind off bo
Increase inc
Decrease dec
Knit k
Purl p
Stitches sts.
Main color mc
Contrast color cc
Continue . cont.
FRONT:
Co 110 sts mc and k one row with the mc.
Row, 1 . k1, p1 to end and change to cc.
Row 2. K 1 on k st and p 1 on p st with cc.
Continue these 2 rows until you have 25, rows.
Change to mc and inc 10 sts even: ( 120 sts)
Row 1, k all sts,

Row 2, p all sts
K until 4 inches less ,to desire length to under arms holes.
On Rs inc 1 st and knit to tast st, incr. 1 ( make 1) on last st. P next row.
Inc. 2 times more every 6th row. Finished on p row.
Rs, Bo, 6sts , k to end , turn
Ws, Bo 6 sts, p to end.
B o, 5,k to end, turn and bo 5, p to end
Divide now the all sts in 2 parts .( for v neck shape)
B o 4sts and knit to the last 2 sts and k 2tog, turn and p. Continue like this , b o 3, 2, 1, and on k row bo at the end of row, ( arm bo sts, 6,5,4,3,2,1 : and ever 2nd row bo for neck shape). When you have 20 sts for shulder, bo these sts.
Knit the other side like the 1st side.
BACK:
Cast on 110 st and knit like the front side. After shapping the arm, knit until the measurement same to the shoulder bind off all sts .(no neck shape on back side).
Sew shoulders.
Pick up sts on arm side with cc and k 1, p 1until 10 rows and change to mc , k 1, p 1, 1 or 2 rows and bo. Knit the other arm same as 1st arm.
Neck shapping.
Pick up the sts with cc from the first part of front side. (for example 50, because I don’t remember how many sts I picked up) and pick 1 st in the middle of both parts , pick up the same nr of sts on first part and pick up the sts on the back side.
K 1, p 1 , to the 1 st before 1extra st, k or p the 3 st tog( k 1,st, from part1, 1, middle st and 1 st
from part 3) . k around. K 10 rows like this and k or p 3 middle sts at the same time. Change to mc k 1 or 2 rows and bo.
Sew the sides.

Syeda'S Lace Slippers

















I Am imprised by Tracy Hudsen's Himalayan slippers . I made some changes to convert to my own pattern. The original patter starts from cuff, but my patter starts from sole.
Here is my pattern.

Syeda’s lace slippers.






Material: socks yarn, 75% wool,25 % polymaid, 1 set of dpns nr 3.mm, crochet hook nr 3mm, st marker and tapestry needle.

Row, 1: (rs) k 2, k 2 tog, yo, yo , k2 tog, k 7.

Row, 5. K 2, k2 tog, yo, yo, k 2 tog, k2, ( yo,yo, k1) 3 times, yo, yo, k 2, (21 sts).
Row, 6 . k 3( p 1, k 2) 3 times, p1, k 4, k 3.
Row 7 and 8 k.
Row, 9. K 2, k 2 tog, yo, yo, k 2 tog,k 15,
Row, 10. K 12, ( k every st with yo 2 times on needle) yo, yo, k 5, p 1, k 3, (23 sts).
Row, 11.k 10, ( p 1, k 1 ) on next st before 12 sts on left needle. K 12 sts tog, ( 13 sts).
Row, 12. K.
Rep. these 12 rows.
Pattern:
Co 105 sts on one dpn and adjust the sts on 3 needles, 35 sts on needle 1. 45 sts on needle 3, 35 sts on needle 3.
Row, 1. K.
Row, 2 .p. ( 17 rows)
Rep. these 2 rows until you have 8 rows of garter st .
K next 2 rows ( st st).
Row, 18. K 35, k 2 tog, k1, sl,sl, ktbl, k 27, k 2 tog, k 1, sl, sl, ktbl, k 35.
Row, 19. K.
Con. with these 2 rows until you have 3 sts between both sides decrease. ( sl 1 st k 2 tog, pass the sl st over) and finished the row with decreasing on 1st and 3rd needle. Do not cut yarn and con. knitting lace pattern with this.
Knit 6 rows of garter st and finish with k row.

Knit these 13 sts with the socks yarn on cuff. ( k tightly 1st st).
Knit 12 sts , sl, sl the st on cuff needle and knit both sts ktbl loosely. Turn,
And sl the st from 13 sts purl wise ( loosely) and k following thelace pattern. Cut the yarn leaving 6 inches tail with the pattern and sew the st with kichener stich te
